Show your talent

What is your hidden talent?

Have you ever wondered about this?

What your hidden talent is?

The thing is that everyone has a hidden talent, something special that makes you unique and sets you apart from the others. It can be anything, like being good at maths, arts, research, music, or sports.

Unfortunately,  some may even have these talents but don’t know they are talents. And in the process, end up going through life oblivious to their untapped potential.

Ironically, many a time, it is because most people just focus on their mistakes. They tend to focus on what they do not have, or where they have failed in life instead of focusing on these hidden talents!

What exactly are talents?

In simple language, a talent is a skill that comes naturally to you. And it’s not something you have to learn to acquire. It’s something you are good at, without even having to practice.

It can be anything, and if you know your hidden talent, well and good.

However, if you don’t, an easy way to find out is by reflecting on the past to see what you were best at. It could be interacting with animals, cooking, drawing, or even traits like strong endurance, good galance and body flexibility.

The thing is, talent is something special that you have.

And it’s not something to compare with others. Each person has a unique talent, to be compared only with yourself, based on whether you use it or not, and if you practice and use it or not.

How do I find my hidden talent?

Don’t worry if you don’t know what your hidden talent is. There are a few ways to find out what it is.

The first is, as mentioned earlier, through introspection and looking into the past. If not talents, figure out what tasks you can easily do without much effort.

As I said earlier, if you know your talents, you know what tasks you are best at.

However, if you don’t know, then try something new to find out. If you can quickly or easily perform the task then well and good. However if it requires too much of your mental energy, then don’t force yourself, it’s not your talent.

And if you need ideas of tasks or things to try out, try something artistic like drama, writing, playing an instrument, or dancing. Who knows? You may end up realizing that you do have not one, but multiple talents!

Even the ability to finish puzzles within minutes is a hidden talent.

Or the ability to remember phone numbers and names easily.

And even the endurance to run a marathon without feeling as tired as others is a unique talent.

Lastly, even your family, friends, and colleagues can help you search for your hidden talent. It’s because they may see the talent in you that you aren’t aware of. And the only way for you to find out is by asking them.

Whatever your talent may be, it is something unique to you and no one else. Once you find your hidden talent, don’t neglect it. Believe me, it is worth investing time to hone, practice, and nurture your talent.

Once you become a master of your talent, there are so many ways to monetize it!
